4/5 - (311 votes)

What is Monstober? Monstober (previously named Disney Channel’s Hauntober Fest and later called Wiz-tober in 2008) was a nightly marathon of Halloween-related movies that debuted on October 1, 2005 on Disney Channel. In 2012, Wiz-tober was renamed Monstober to prepare for the Girl Vs. Monster premiere. Monstober officially ended after October 2016. Beginning in 2021, Disney Channel ran the “Calling All the Monsters” programming block during October, featuring various Halloween-themed TV specials and original movies. It is rumored that the Disney Channel will be re-launching the Monstober programming event in October 2024.

Hi Carson, this is all Disney has released so far for the schedule. Unfortunately the last few years they haven’t aired very many of the older Halloween favorites. Keep checking back in to see any updates we get.

  • I cannot believe Disney cancelled the showing of the last two movies in the Halloweentown series!!! So disappointed, I had looked dorward to the movies all day only to tune into the channel and see that the shows had been removed from the list all together. Absolutely ridiculous and extremely disappointing all together.

We definitely agree Angie, so disappointing year after year to not have our old favorites shown. And there is no excuse as Disney owns the rights to all of these movies.

Yes, this exactly. The whole Disney channel line-up has been a dumpster for several of the last years. Not enough of the traditional Halloween movies that the kids love. Mine are getting older and they don’t even want to watch it this year because it has been so disappointing in the ones before. In fact, my youngest has never gotten the love like the older two did.
