Thank you very much for your support (and for tolerating the ads) - I appreciate it!
I am glad to see some of the Universal classics as it wouldn’t be Halloween without them, but I would like to see more BEM too (Bug Eyed Monsters) of the 50′ s Fiend Without a Face, The Crawling Eye, Tarantula, Cult of the Cobra Woman, It the Terror From Beyond Space, a precursor to Alien, Them, It Came From Beneath the Sea and The Monster That Challenged the World. They are such classics and scared us as kids.
Great! So glad to see Lugosi as the star of the month. So well deserved. He began the modern sound horror film with his iconic performance of Dracula which he had first debuted on the Broadway stage. He would continue amaze in adaptions of Edgar Allan Poe, star in the first zombie film, White Zombie, as the necromancer Murder Legendre. His creation of the evil, crafty role of Ygor in Son of Frankenstein was Oscar-worthy. He would return to Ygor and his vampire image. All of his mad men would finally culminate in his return to Dracula(with mad scientist leanings) in Abbott and Costello meets Frankenstein. The Legendary Lugosi, his like will not be seen again.
I don’t see Dracula, Prince of Darkness. Great lineup.
Schedule looks pretty good. I just wish they had added more classic like The Phantom of the opera , Santo and blue Demon movies, King Kong, King Kong vs Godzilla, Deadly mantis, Tarantula , Kaiden ,Inner Sanctum Mysteries,
