BEHIND THE BROADCAST

About the station

The memories matter. So do the people who help us keep them.

Our history. A new chapter.

Halloween Movies on TV began with a simple obsession: knowing what spooky thing was airing next. For returning visitors, the channel schedules, Halloween marathons, and movie listings were part of the season itself.

Reawakened in 2026, HMOT is bringing that history into a year-round home for Halloween movies, vintage broadcasts, forgotten specials, and shared television memories. Recovered archive records date to 2012. The original archive is being recovered and organized as the site returns. A small opening collection is now available to browse.

Vincentia is your host at the station: an occasional note in the margin, a peculiar recommendation, and a reason to follow a memory a little further.

Privacy & cookies

If you join the Letters from Vincentia interest list, HMOT stores your email address, whether you want news of paid letters, the signup time, and a record of the consent wording. We use these to send launch news and occasional HMOT letters and offers. Joining does not purchase a membership. This version does not send an automatic confirmation email. HMOT has not added advertising trackers or visitor analytics.

This private preview is hosted through ChatGPT Sites. Hosting and sign-in services may process technical information needed to deliver the page and control access; see OpenAI’s privacy policy for the provider’s practices.

Contact links open your email application. Sending an email shares the message and your email address with its recipient. Other external links take you to services with their own privacy practices.

You may ask to leave the list or have your signup deleted by using the contact address above. Email addresses are stored in the site database; they are not displayed publicly or sold. Before newsletter delivery begins, HMOT will update this notice to identify the email provider and include an unsubscribe option in every mailing.

Commercial memories

The optional commercial-memory vote saves your selected option, a random receipt for that poll, and save times in HMOT’s site database. The poll does not ask for a name or email address, and its code does not attach your account identity to your response.

Your browser keeps the receipt and last saved option so you can update the same response. Clearing browser storage or using another device may create a separate response. This is not a count of unique people, and votes are never evidence that a commercial aired during a particular broadcast.

Poll records remain in the site database until the site owner removes them. No vote totals or individual responses are displayed publicly. The hosting service may process ordinary request information as described above. Commercial clips open on YouTube, which has its own privacy practices; this page does not load a video embed automatically.

The separate memory worksheet does not transmit or save your text with HMOT. Its download stays with you, and any permission choice in that file is only a draft preference. Memory-submission collection is not open.

Accessibility

HMOT’s design goal is a readable, welcoming archive that people can explore with different devices and ways of navigating.

The rebuild has not yet completed a full accessibility audit. If something prevents you from using a page, send accessibility feedback with the page address and what happened.

Affiliate disclosure

This version of HMOT contains no affiliate shopping links. As curated books, décor, and other recommendations arrive, any links that can earn HMOT a commission will be identified alongside the recommendation.

Credits & use of the archive

Vincentia is HMOT’s illustrated fictional host. Her current standalone portrait was created with AI assistance from HMOT’s supplied character references.

Movie titles and television references identify the works being discussed. HMOT is an independent archive, not a broadcaster or streaming service. Archive material describes past broadcasts; it does not guarantee that a movie is available to watch now.

If you recognize an item that needs a source correction or an updated credit, contact HMOT with the item and its page address.
