In 2012, Wiz-tober was renamed Monstober to get ready for the Girl Vs. Monster premiere. Monstober officially ended after October 2016. Since 2021, Disney Channel has ran the “Calling All the Monsters” programming block during the month of October featuring various Halloween themed TV specials and original movies.

  • I’m disappointed also, this is just horrible…I’m glad I bought all the disney Halloween original movies i could find….most I bought at walmart.com and years ago I had a dvd burner that let me burn TV shows on dvd, so I was I was smart enough back then to burn some of the movies you can’t but like the scream team and my moms got a date with a vampire and a couple others but I wish they would make another original halloween movie….smh I just can’t believe the lack of Halloween movies on this year

This is by far the most disappointing lineup I have ever seen, not only is Disney not playing Halloween Town, My Babysitter’s a Vampire, or Mostly Ghostly, but Netflix doesn’t have them either. Besides Mostly Ghostly (I think). My point is I shouldn’t have to go somewhere else to find the Halloween movies I love that Disney has aired every year. So disappointed…

Sooo I’m guessing all the old comments are based on a different version of the schedule because Halloween Town just finished airing this morning. I’m sad that I missed Don’t Look Under The Bed but I had no idea it aired at THREE A.M.!!! Jeez, I could’ve recorded it but still, that late?? Kids are never gonna catch that one…

The sad part is that Disney just wants to keep pushing its new sitcoms and the Descendants series over actually coming up with original movies like the old days. I wish they understood that kids and tweens like cartoons more than sitcoms, and while I personally like Descendants the 2nd movie was very angsty and has a moral of “magic is bad! just b urself~” which sucks when you want Halloween ESCAPISM.

They are only reairing our favorite nostalgia movies b/c it’s a cheap easy way to regain our viewership, which is not a bad thing at all. In fact, it should really be encouraged more. I guess that’s why they’re pushing their app so hard, because they aren’t smart enough to just put out a survey for their viewers. That said, everyone else here has named quite a few great DCOMs they should’ve aired instead.

I wish Coco was already out, because by the 22nd everyone will be ready to get thanksgiving over with and then immediately start prepping for christmas. Coco seems like a better Halloween movie than a thanksgiving movie.

Oh well, at least we’re getting a christmas DCOM. Like there aren’t enough kids christmas movies and not enough kid-friendly halloween movies…
