    1. Omg lol. Anyone watch friday the 13th part 3 and laugh at how they showed shelly with his throat cut but yet totally edited out Rick’s eye popping scene?Lol what is wrong with these guys?

      1. That’s how the director intentionally wanted it because they wanted the eye popping to look 3Dish and make it more shocking towards Jason’s pure brutality and strength, most of the deaths didn’t though.

        1. AMC FearFest Fan… No I am talking about the bad editing job that was done by the network. They show someone with their throat slit yet they totally showed nothing of the eye pop. It is 2020 time for the MPAA and people in general to grow up and realize people want to see these things, otherwise what is the point? Besides the kills are the whole reason behind the movie.

  1. I would have love to see the Phantasm movies on the list. My father and I were just talking about then the other day!

    1. I love the Halloween Movies as I’m a huge fan of the franchise & I would love to see all the Pumpkinhead Movies & the movie Boo about the people are trapped inside a haunted mental hospital, can you please put that one on also?

    2. Seems like they could since a lot of the movies are ones they show on Shudder (which is owned by AMC). They’ve been showing Phantasm 1 and 3 on and off a lot.

  2. Not a bad selection of films for this year’s edition of Fear Fest but there is several films missing from the list.

    Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974)
    Hellraiser (1987)
    Idle Hands (1999)
    The Ring (2002)
    Saw (2004)
    Hostel (2005)
    Hostel: Part 2 (2007)
    Vacancy (2007)
    Drag Me To Hell (2009)
    The Conjuring (2013)
    Anabelle (2014)
    The Conjuring 2 (2016)
    The Strangers (2018)

AMC also needs to chill out on the Halloween movie series overload. I got nothing but love for the Halloween series but why are they are showing Halloween 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 so much !!!

Halloween 2 and 3 have been omitted as well as the two Halloween movies from Rob Zombie

    1. Chill on the Halloween series? Are you nuts? I’m pissed that Halloween(1978) won’t be on in the afternoon or evening on Halloween like it usually is! I understand there are a lot of movies they could play but I think they can chill on Eli Roth. Is he paying them? More Halloween and Halloween II.

        1. Enjoy watching. I probably would not even have said anything except that it is one of my favorite movies and I’d already marked my calendar!

  3. There are so many good movies that never get played and with this year being all month long I feel like you guys dropped the ball !! Syfy will get most of my attention as they seem to have a decent lineup of good scary movies like “the strangers” !

      1. See I don’t mind when they don’t play Season of the Witch because I don’t really like that one. Lol it doesn’t have Michael in it! They used to play it though, some years ago. But I don’t see the point in skipping the second one. Unless it doesn’t have high ratings? Which I don’t see why it wouldn’t.

  4. Every year I love putting on Fear Fest to put me in the Halloween mood. I love all the movies that you put on and hope that you continue to do this every year. I had to buy the channel AMC this month so i can get my horror fix.

    1
    1
    1. I had to buy Youtube TV to get all of Fear Fest and to await December and all their Holiday movies they show. Not really a bad deal with their unlimited cloud DVR.

    1. No walking dead thank god Because when they made fear feast a few years ago it sucked because all it was was the walking dead and I watched31 days of Halloween on sifi

      1. Now this whait i am talking about lots of different movies to watch
Not the same movies over and over this is great 👌 unlike sysf thay play the same movies over and over agen boring 🙄

        2
        3
  5. Yes, we all have our different tastes. I just saw a friday the 13th 2013 or something 2 nights ago and ai had never seen that one. The Halloween series is my fav and I would love to see Halloween II, which the treat diffferently than the others. Must be a copyright or distribution thing. Also some old comedy horror like :Two on Guillatine
or the wolfman would be OK. A little more variety more e wonderful and much appreciated by the viewers who wait for this every year.

    I love all things Halloween

  6. Why do they show the Halloween movies constantly during Fear Fest. Don’t get me wrong I do enjoy those movies. But I feel like every year they over do it. I don’t mind that its on, but do they need to show it as much as they do?

    7
    13
    1. Halloween rocks but I’m bummed out that they aren’t showing or didn’t put (Halloween 2 1981) on the schedule, they did last year don’t know why this year it’s not.

    2. I agree. On Halloween that’s all they show now plus they show it 50 times when fearfest starts. Love those movies but it’s kind of annoying.

    3. Sarah m confused..are you saying why are horror movies being played in general or why the same movies? Or the “halloween” series ? But it is halloween that is the point it is having fun and enjoying the whole thing. You say you enjoy them but you are asking? That seems contradicting.

      4
      1
      1. No not horror movies in general, I mean the Halloween movies, the ones with Michael Myers. They seem to always play Halloween series, more so than other horror movies.

        2
        3
        1. Sarah.. Although I agree that some things are played far too often I will also state that the Halloween franchise is a main staple of Fear Fest just because if its name. But looking at this lineup has me seriously wondering why no Carrie 1976 but the 2013 remake a blue million times? Why the remake of NOES countless times? When the original is far superior. Texas chainsaw original not seen at all yet 8 legged freaks is? AMC needs to do polling next year as to what is wanted in general because whomever the brainiacs are that come up with this format are in need of firing, it is just obvious they dont get it nor do they really care.

  7. I am probably the minority, but I love halloween III season of the witch. I know, I know, no unstoppable micheal myers, but he becomes tedious! Give me Halloween III and Pet Sematary 2!

    19
    5
    1. They have II and III on On Demand for $3.99 each. They possibly might show them on Halloween. They also need to show Children of the corn 1 and 2, The Funhouse, Creepshow 2, Texas Chainsaw, Critters, etc. Their are so many missing that they never show

      3
      1
      1. Do You know What AMC Should Show Every Year On Fear Fest is 1. Tourist Trap 1979 with Chuck Connors, 2. Tales From The Crypt 1972 The Full Movie 3. Savage Weekend 1979, 4. The Children 1980, 5. The Asylum 1972 with Robert Powell & Patrick MacNee 6. Frankenstein with Boris Karloff 7. The Original Version of The House of Wax with Vincent Price, 8. The Pit and The Pendelum 1961, 9. Comedy of Terrors 1964 with Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, Boris Karloff 10.The Return of The Fly II 1959 with Vincent Price & Brett Halsey. IMOPO…

    2. Jen I wouldn’t say you are in the minority because everyone has their likes and dislikes. I personally detest H3 season of the witch but I understand others like it so it’s on for those who like it. PS2 was silly but others love it. This is what I love about Fear Fest, so many different things. That being said in general this year it seems the real big names have been forgotten… carrie 76… more zombies.. Noes 2010 sucks bad but yet it is on too many times.. with that it is pretty clear ppl do not like it.

  8. What is it with Halloween 2 (1981) that never makes it to Fear Fest? I can still remember June of 2019 AMC had it on but yet not when it really counts.. Halloween!! It is imo the best sequel to any movie. Come on let’s get part 2 on!!!

    15
  9. Yes absolute bad flick. Why is the original and the sequels not being shown as often? Why carrie remake which is ok.. but no original? Why bride of chucky and seed of chucky 300 times but no child play 1 or 2? Unless it gets better toward the end of the month this FF is shaping up to be one of the most boring and uninteresting FF to date. Only land of the dead? What about Romero’s day and diary and night? 2020 and still cant get it right… what is funny is that christine and cujo have been on AMC the past month or so yet for halloween nowhere to be seen so far.. brain numbing for sure.

    1. I don’t think I seen scream on there listed. See I don’t see why they can’t put on scream, I know what you did last summer, urban legend
…those type of movies teen horror films in the 90s were the best. I seen that some of the final destination movies were on, but they really need to need to make a whole day or marathon just for the 90s teen movies. Darkness falls was another movie too that I’ve never seen but it seemed like a real deep Halloween type scary movie with the witch n stuff.

    2. It’s the same movies every year from AMC. Besides the fact they edit the crap out of the movies, they leave out a lot of really good horror flicks. They should do a fan poll each summer to decide which movies to show. Whoever decides what gets shown obviously doesn’t have a lot of experience in the horror genre.
